Are Prismatic Progression Cards Useless?

Well, here, you found someone like that. Although I do enjoy the fact my cards glow, whenever I unlock a prismatic card, I use it not for its look but because it does indeed show that you’ve played a lot.

There’s this guy too. Clearly he only wanted to show off. He quit because he couldn’t.

Have you spend any resources (in-game or real money) to actually craft prismatic cards? Because that what we are talking about - something that generates additional revenue for CPG.

I skipped over the thread of this person and I could not find the part where he says that he does not care about the visuals. Even if he did I am not sure he is really representative since he seems a bit unstable.

You’re just moving goalposts in the first paragraph, then presenting a strawman in the second. Where is your response?

You are partially correct … considering I had dusted about 100 legendary’s and played since beta to get this ONE single complete crafted deck … ya I was kinda gunna say “Hey look at the time I invested” I did not spend a single penny on this game to get what I had gotten. And after this debacle I never will spend a single cent on this game. I honestly hope it dies just like Might & Magic duel of champions. I was there for that games demise too was hilarious btw.

But without boasting about this game dying too much ( Its going to if they continue down this path eventually sooner rather than later. ) I simply wanted to show that I had invested time into the game and should be within my right to have something “cool” for my time invested. In HS you get golden cards which are far superior to duelyst’s prismatics. Not to mention they cost 100X less than prismatics. The amount the devs want you to spend “dust” to even aquire these cards is absurd and not even in the same realm as HS and yet HS’s version is superior and cheaper … It screams desperation out of the duelyst dev team to squeeze money out of its playerbase. I have seen this tactic done 1000 times. and again as the example above Might & Magic goes it failed horribly and they died.

There is again no logical reason to lock “neutral” prismatic cards away to a “faction” the irony in that statement alone should be enough to tell you how stupid a decision that is. That was all I asked they do was simply remove that restriction … but its there for them to squeeze money and time out of players. Instead of believing in their playerbase to like and play their game … they restrict you and force you to do long tedious grinding of unnessisary things in order to obtain said things. This in turn immediately rings bells in my head that the devs are desperate to make money and have zero faith in their game or their community. I been to this rodeo one too many times and I have learned to get off the ride rather than to invest.

@ezekeel I am not unstable lmao I just went off cause one person decided to troll and be a bit of a pest … I cared about the visuals … and I didn’t care. Prismatics in every form SUCK … theres nothing unique about them but a shiny wierd very wierd imo aura with 3 colored balls hanging on them did I mention its wierd ? they could have done 1000 times a better job but again as I said you can clearly tell they were rushed out the door by devs to squeeze money out asap … quality was not the goal here. As far as spending resources for the prismatics I wanted try about 30,000 dust for a SINGLE DECK … let that one sink in … one prismatic deck with only about 6-8 legendarys = about 100 + legendarys and about id guess 100 epics dusted as well.
Clearly it was totally worth … not lol.

I just wanted to kinda get to show something special for my time invested into the game … but again dev’s don’t care about the “time” it’s all about the “$$$”

So yeah I quit the game and do not plan on coming back unless they change what I have requested and even if they did change after the way I was treated about the whole scenario they should never expect a dime out of me anyhow. I would invest “time” but never “money” at this point … tbh this is a dying game and everyone deep down knows it.

I like the way prismatic cards look. It’s not a huge difference, compared to normal cards, but it’s a nice extra touch.

Oh, I thought you’d never see that.
I don’t want to go too off topic so I’ll just suggest you to directly contact a developer. You won’t get anything by posting this here. And again, I can completely understand your feeling, I dusted every legendary I had, every epic, to play Magmar. I actually spent money too. So, yeah, I understand. But as I said before, you won’t get anything by posting here.

oh I hear ya I already spoke to devs directly about it. They would rather just let their game die then to change anything so I will just sit back, watch and wait for it to happen then laugh. If they decide to change then I will get my deck and play if not i’m not going to lose sleep over it. I have plenty of games to fill my time BF1 / LOL / SFV among others and COD coming soon too.

Sure, sure. But, maybe you can replace those basic cards with other ones ? IDK. I bet there are other cards with the same effect.
Anyway, I’m not lookinv to actually get you back in the game, but you spent money and time didn’t you ? If I were you, I’d try to make it so it wasn’t vain by any means.

No, I am not. gdfrsgdfgdfrsgdfsgbdfg

I only spent time in the game thank god lol. I never invest into a games early lifespan for just these types of reasons because devs eventually do stupid shit. I make sure to only invest in games where devs actually take the player base’s insight into account ex League Of Legends.

Duelyst has good devs when it comes to balancing cards and the game but what is done around that. The marketing devs, the deployment of content devs etc they’re HORRIBLE.

Well then, I guess it now all depends on them. Or you. You choose.

You made a decision out of frustration and disappointment. Rethink about it.

Anyway, I’m repeating myself but now, it’s all your choice. T’is all I can say.
